Viva La Tinta KC is a celebration of the printmaking legacy. We specialize in making art for events with analog printing methods like woodblock or screen printing. It was started by two Chicano artists who have always been influenced by the heritage of printmaking in Mexican and Latin-American culture left by artists like Jose Guadalupe Posada. The democratic nature of printmaking allowed it to be a powerful tool for political and social movements. Through the live printing experience, we can share our love of print and educate audiences in an effort to keep the craft alive.
